The Races of Rolcaria
Scattered amongst the lands of Rolcaria is a rich tapestry of people and cultures, each vastly unique to one another. Many live alongside dragons who have become an integral part of many societies, while others choose to live amongst themselves, such as the elves of Lothin or the Snakeborn of Xergonia.

Dragonfolk
The Rolcarian Dragonfolk were created by the dragon gods themselves to fight the Dark Trinity. They arrived as Draconic warriors who burned across the battlefields—laying waste to the Leviathan spawn and the races that sided with them. Once the battles had finished and the Leviathans which once ruled were defeated, the Dragonfolk spread out across Rolcaria, bringing good word that the dark ones had been defeated and all was well.

Subraces: Blessed, Shadow, Sky & Brutetail Dragonfolk
Dwarves of Rolcaria
A race once divided in servitude to the dark Leviathans of old and to the dragon gods, the dwarves in Rolcaria still do not see eye to eye. Some seek lands non-dominated by dragons while killing dragons in places they want to inhabit. Others want to work with the dragons, seeing them as intelligent beasts. Both sides of the dwarves crave for gold and other trinkets and this has resulted in some brutal conflicts.

Subraces: Magma Dwarves & Windcutter Dwarves

Rolcarian Minotaur

A race that has been around since the dawn of Rolcaria, Minotaurs once served as the main core for an ancient legion which challenged the Leviathans that once ruled Rolcaria. The arrival of the dragon gods in their time of need bolstered morale and they fell under the sway of the dragon god Ber’zaroath, who in turn gave them the power to assist the dragon gods fighting against the Leviathan and their spawn.

Subraces: Guardian Minotaur & Vanguard Minotaur
Koboldians
Kobolds come in all sizes and shapes in Rolcaria as they are a fairly common race. Kobolds have found themselves in all aspects of society, from being rich nobles serving in Aothmir’s court to working in the crystal mines for Hyperion the Twister. They are loyal and outspoken about their lives.

Subraces: Tinkerer Koboldian's & Cave Dweller Koboldians

Gemkin
Long ago, during the wars of Olde, a dragon of the stars shed tears over a lost lover in battle. Their love, rage, and essence streamed into the dark crevices of Rolcaria and birthed a new race, one which would go undiscovered for thousands of years.

Deep beneath the surface of Rolcaria lay vast caverns and tunnel networks, many of which are still unexplored or undiscovered. With so many places to be found, it often comes as no surprise that these beings lay hidden away to this day. One of these newly discovered races is the abnormal accumulation of sentient crystals known as Gemkin.
Snakeborn
Deep within the jungle, living alongside the Scalefolk, are the powerful Snakeborn who worship an entirely different coven of gods. Their race was born from the powerful Criminith Gods which take the form of giant, mighty snakes.

Subraces: Razorscale & Hooded Snakeborn

ROlcarian Scalefolk
The Scalefolk of Rolcaria appeared in the large mysterious jungles of olde, where they have thrived for many generations in their ancient stone cities.
They are one of few races in Rolcaria which do not give the dragon gods any praise. Their current worship all belongs to the newly risen Criminith Snake Gods who have challenged the Dragon Gods in recent times.

Subraces: Chameleon & Strongleg Scalefolk
Elves of Rolcaria
The elves in Rolcaria come in unique and wide varieties. From the eccentric snow elves in the northern regions to the Arisa Mari which study and research in secluded places hidden around Rolcaria, they have all found suitable places to thrive and live peacefully, with most of the dragons connected to the areas in which they selected to settle.

Subraces: Lothanian, Arisa Mari, & Frostmoor Elves

Half-Dragons
A half-dragon is born when a dragon mates with a humanoid race. Often this occurs when the dragon has slipped into humanoid form, for whatever reason. There are many half-dragon types across Rolcaria, all varying from whom their dragon parent was to what gifts with which they were born .
Many half-dragons treat themselves as higher than the other races due to their powerful lineage while looking at the other dragon humanoids as rivals for their parents' power.
